Online therapy across New York and New Jersey
I am licensed as an LMHC in New York and an LPC in New Jersey, so I can work with you wherever you are located in either state, by secure video.

Why clients choose virtual sessions
Online sessions remove the commute, which for many people is the difference between therapy fitting into a week and quietly falling out of it. They also widen access considerably: someone in a smaller New York or New Jersey community who wants to talk about religious experiences may not have a nearby therapist who is a good fit, and may not want to see one who is connected to the same community.
Some people find it easier to speak candidly from a space that is already their own. Others prefer the separation of an office. Neither preference is a problem, and it can change over time.
Where clients meet from
Across New York: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester, Long Island and upstate. Across New Jersey: Hoboken, Jersey City, Newark, Montclair, Princeton and the surrounding areas.
If you prefer to meet face to face, I also see clients at my Upper West Side office on Tuesdays, and many clients alternate between the two.
The work is the same work
Virtual sessions follow the same psychodynamic and relational approach, with the same focus on religious trauma, grief, identity and rebuilding self-trust. Frequency is usually weekly, and fees are the same regardless of format — see fees and insurance.
Frequently asked questions
- You need to be physically located in New York or New Jersey at the time of each session. Licensure follows the client's location, not their address, so a New York resident traveling out of state cannot meet during that trip. If you move or travel often, it is worth raising during the consultation so the schedule can account for it.
