I see clients in a quiet office at 110 West 96th Street, Suite 2B, for adults working through religious trauma, grief, identity and the process of rebuilding trust in themselves.

Office and location

110 West 96th Street, Suite 2B
New York, NY 10025

The office sits between Amsterdam and Columbus, a few minutes from the 96th Street 1/2/3 and B/C stations and within reach of the M96 and M7 buses. Riverside Park and Central Park are both close by, which some clients use to decompress before or after a session.

I hold sessions on Tuesdays. Because that is the only in-person day, available times tend to move; a consultation call will confirm what is open.

Who comes to the office

Clients travel from across Manhattan — the Upper West Side, Morningside Heights, Harlem, Hamilton Heights, the Upper East Side and Midtown — as well as from Brooklyn and Queens when the schedule allows.

Some people find that leaving home for a session makes the hour feel more contained, and that the trip home is part of how they process it. Others prefer the flexibility of meeting online, and many alternate between the two.

What the work focuses on

In-person sessions follow the same psychodynamic and relational approach as online ones: attention to recurring emotional and relational patterns, with practical support included where it helps. The most common focus is religious trauma and its long tail — shame, difficulty with authority, grief after leaving a community, and uncertainty about what you actually believe now.
